TAKING CARE OF YOUR NEW TATTOO HOW TO DISCOURAGE INFECTIONS
AND KEEP THE COLOURS BRIGHT

The life of your tattoo is dependent upon the care it receives in the first few hours. Keep the tattoo covered

with the tissue for at least 1 hour, unless otherwise stated.
After this time remove the dressing. If the dressing sticks to the skin, don't worry, proceed to wet the area down

with warm water, then remove the dressing carefully.

Once the tattoo is exposed, wash thoroughly with warm soapy water, (but DO NOT SCRUB) one without perfumes

in it preferably.

Remove surface blood and rinse off all remaining soap, dab dry with a towel.

DO NOT apply Vaseline or any petroleum jelly
DO NOT apply alcohol. At this point pat lightly to dry.
DO NOT rub or scratch the tattoo. With clean hands apply a light layer of Aftercare cream, (DO NOT SMOTHER),

a minimum of 4 to 5 times a day for 10 days or until scabs are gone.
DO NOT let the tattoo dry out (even if it means putting Aftercare Cream on more than 10 times a day.)
It is natural for a scab to form, Do not worry!
DO NOT pick the tattoo.
DO NOT expose to direct sunlight for 2 weeks.
DO NOT swim for 1 week.
DO NOT soak in sauna or steam bath or bathtub for 2 weeks.

After the scabs have fallen off there will be a period of adjustment for the new skin.
It is advisable to apply hand lotion or vitamin E oil after all the scabs are gone.
The tattoo is your responsibility after you leave the studio. " Use common sense."
FACT: The sun fades out tattoos

NB. Recent tests have proved that PREPARATION H OINTMENT (not gel) is a good alternative to Savlon,

as this heals the tattoo quicker and prevents major scabbing.
Try it, it may work better for you.
